Long COVID

Post-acute sequelae of COVID-19
(PASC)
Long COVID, also known as Long Haul COVID Syndrome (LHCS) or Post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), is a condition in which symptoms persist for weeks or months after an initial COVID-19 infection, even if the original illness was mild. It commonly affects multiple systems in the body and may include fatigue, brain fog, shortness of breath, cardiovascular, and autonomic symptoms.
The condition is thought to involve a combination of ongoing inflammation, immune dysregulation, microvascular changes, and possibly viral persistence.
Symptoms often fluctuate over time and can significantly impact daily functioning, making recognition and supportive care important in recovery.
The condition can often feel hopeless, and you may feel abandoned by the medical system and your support system. However, as research and clinic practice continue to evolve, the path to recovery becomes brighter.
At Lifespan Health, we employ both standard-of-care and powerful integrative interventions to address the underlying (root) mechanisms of systemic damage, and provide patients with effective ways of returning to their previous health and function.
