Dr. Mark Rawson started Lifespan Health in 2016, with the goal of helping his patients achieve optimal health through a holistic approach. Following medical residency at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Rawson has served patients in a variety of healthcare settings, including inner-city community clinics, hospitals in developing countries, metro-area Emergency Departments and onboard a Semester at Sea ship. In addition to Lifespan, he continues to provide patient care at Sanford Health Hospitals and ERs. Dr. Rawson embraces the concept of Functional/Integrative Medicine, and helps patients find the underlying "root cause" of their chronic conditions. He believes in a collaborative approach with his patients, and strives to find effective, non-toxic, science-based interventions--often outside the boundaries of traditional, standard-of-care medicine. He loves to help patients optimize their physical and cognitive performance, and achieve high-level function for life. Alicia is an experienced functional medicine practitioner who has spent many years helping patients who are battling cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, environmental toxicities and gut issues. She is a close colleague of of Drs. Thomas Seyfried, Nasha Winters, Simon Yu, and Miriam Kalamian, leading researchers and clinicians in metabolic health and cancer. Alicia completed her undergraduate studies at Bethel University (St. Paul, MN) with a BS in Biokinetics. There she co-authored two published papers on the effect of diet and its reversal of chronic illness. She continued her education at Des Moines University, earning a MS in the Physician Assistant program. Alicia genuinely enjoys a collaborative approach to patient care, empowering and encouraging her patients to take an active role in their health choices. Away from the office, Alicia loves coaching children in soccer, a sport she played in college. She enjoys calligraphy and creating nutritious recipes for her family. Alicia is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (Institute for Functional Medicine) and is certified in the Bredesen Protocol.

STARTING in APRIL, 2025 Dr. Laura Rawson has been practicing Chinese Medicine for over 25 years. She is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology (NCCAOM), and board-certified by the California Acupuncture Board. She completed training in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1996, at ACTCM in San Francisco. Additionally, she is a devoted Breema practitioner and instructor, a certified Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) practitioner and a graduate of the Kresser Institute for Functional and Evolutionary Medicine. With such extensive training, Dr. Rawson is able to offer customized treatment plans, to help her clients move through a wide range of physical, emotional, and spiritual transitions in the most efficient and transformative way. She routine helps clients with digestive complaints, hormone imbalance, anxiety, depression, and addiction, as well as chronic and acute pain or injury. Samantha joined Lifespan in November, 2024, She is an acomplished athlete, having played softball and basketball at the collegiate level. She received the Fleur-de-lis Award, which recognized her as the student-athlete who best exemplified excellence on the court/field, in the classroom and in community service.
